Half legs refer to either the upper part of the leg (thigh) from the hip to the knee or the lower part (calf and shin) from the knee to the ankle. They support movement, balance, and strength in daily activities.

Upper Leg (Thigh):

The upper leg extends from the hip joint to the knee and is primarily made up of the femur, the longest and strongest bone in the human body. This section houses major muscles including:

  • Quadriceps – located at the front of the thigh, responsible for extending the knee.

  • Hamstrings – located at the back, responsible for bending the knee and aiding hip movement.

  • Adductors – inner thigh muscles that pull the legs together.

These muscles and bones work together to enable powerful movements such as walking, climbing stairs, running, jumping, and squatting. The upper leg is also a key weight-bearing area, supporting much of the body’s mass during standing and movement.
